Who this is for: Owners who aren't sure whose name is on their domain, website and marketing accounts.

## Quick checks
- Whose name and email the domain is registered to
- Whether you are an owner (not just a user) on Google Business Profile
- Whether you can log in to analytics and ad accounts yourself

## Check the deed: your domain
- Look up your domain on a public lookup tool to see the registrar.
- Log in to that registrar with your own company email.
- Make sure the registrant is your company, and turn on auto-renew.

## Check the keys: your accounts
- Google Business Profile: you should be listed as primary owner.
- Google Analytics and Search Console: you should have admin access.
- Ad accounts: billing should be in your company's name.

## Write the punch list
- List every account, who owns it and who has access.
- Ask your marketing partner to add you as owner where you're missing — good partners do this happily.
- Store logins in a password manager the company controls.

## FAQ
### How do I find out who owns my website domain?
Look up the domain on a public lookup tool to see the registrar, then log in there. If you can't, ask your web provider to transfer the domain into your company's account.

### Is it bad if my marketing company holds my accounts?
Not always — many manage accounts for clients. The goal is that your company is the owner, so you keep everything no matter who you work with.
